Mission Statement

 East Lake Academy's mission is to create a collaborative, respectful community that is ready to become productive stakeholders responsible for building a community that is influential, dynamic, innovative, and futuristic.

About East Lake Academy

 East Lake Academy of Fine Arts has been serving middle school students in our community for 13 years, opening in August 2000 for the 2000-2001 school year. The school is a two-story building located at the corner of 34th Street and Dodds Avenue next to the East Lake Recreational Center. When the School Board designated East Lake Middle as a magnet school in 1998, the need arose to revise the blueprints to reflect an arts program. Unlike any magnet school in the system, the building was modified before completion to house the school's fine arts curriculum.
